why don't you go in for another consult with him and explain that you like his methods but have a very definite vision in mind and you'd like him to work with you on that? I do know that he is very against taking out too much cartiledge because that is the cause of many needs for revision. Perhaps that is why he doesn't want to touch your columnella? I do not think it is because he doesn't know how to handle it, because raising my columnella was something he suggested for me (which, ironically, I do not feel I need so much as tweaking my nostrils and straightening my septum.

Try not to freak out too much about needing a revision. I think if you are looking to do conservative things and go to someone conservative you will hopefully be safe.

@Lawoman- I was thinking about doing that but his consultations are $100 and I wanted to meet with other doctors anyway to compare and hopefully find someone I’m more confident about. Because I feel that I already know there’s a big possibility I’m not going to be happy with the results Davis has to offer me….but believe me I’m not one of these kinds of people that wants something completely drastic. I want to see if I can find someone else instead of going back in and try changing his mind. Grafting is something he chooses to do with all his patients besides that I’ve read it has been known to fail and get deformed after a year or so…I know its to reinforce it but I also feel that it will cancel out the little bit he would shave off my profile…I mean I don’t know how necessary it really is to do rib grafting for my case I need to become more educated on the subject before I take that risk. I’m looking to get opinions from other doctors about it and other techniques. I don’t just want it to be straight I want it to be smaller….


I found a website the other day of a guy that seemed good but lost the link!...I’ll keep you posted if I find it again or if I see other docs. Good luck to you and thx for your advice!
