Facial Lipo

I'm having a chin implant and under chin (I guess it's neck area) liposuction. I'm not nervous about the implant but I am about the lipo. Does anyone know if it's more dangerous or less dangerous than having lipo on any other part of my body? I'm worried that the lipo wand thingamajig will stab me in the throat or something. And what about embolisms? Are they common?

This article might help you educate yourself regarding the risks of lipo:
Liposuction Risks, Dangers of Liposuction

The neck is as risky as any other body part.

Embolisms are NOT common.

How old are you? Chin implants in themselves can be an excellent way to re-define the area. if it has lost shape due to aging. I know of a patient that was given one in lieu of a neck lift. Reportedly the results turned out well, but I have yet to see him since surgery so I cannot personally comment on it.

I would also be curious to know which surgeon(s) you are considering. Undoubtedly you will want to go with one that specializes in facial work. Don't try asking a surgeon that only does body lipo do to your neck ;)

Lip liposuction is done. For some reason many of the surgeons that perform this procedure are in India. I do not know anyone who has gotten this procedure.
