I am around 50 and have flabby arms that hang and they are a hot mess. I need to either get either under arm liposuction to suck those babies out or I need to get a lift, maybe both!

Will lipo alone solve the problem or will I be left with saggy skin under the arms? I need to do something about this problem ASAP because I do not wear shot sleeves anymore because of it.

Any advice/opinions would be greatly appreciated.

You might need both procedures in conjunction, however, if you are more than a bit overweight, liposuction is not recommended until you lose most of the excess weight. An armlift will result in scars.

Nope Im not overweight except the normal 5ish of vanity pounds. Now that i have researched this some more and learned about the scars it sounds as if I still wont get to wear my short sleeves after the operation. Does this mean I can never do that for the rest of my life because I will either have hanging flab or scars?

Scares are inevitable, but the docs approach and technique can determine the extent of the scarring. Some are able to minimalize it more than others. You will have scars, it will depend on how many and/or how noticeable they are once they heal.

Keep in mind it has a lot to do with what type of skin you have. If you have more pigment in your skin then you will most likely scar easier. On the other end of the spectrum it seems like those with very pale skin hardly scar long term. I like have my "natural tan" from my skin tone but I do hate the fact that I scar so easily [and permanently]. If you can swap your flabby arms for a couple scars through under arm liposuction then I would go for it.
