I was watching the show "The Doctors" today and a woman on there had liposuction for cankles on the show. I did not even know they did this procedure. Does anyone know anything about it or has anyone here had this done? The results looked pretty good but I am a bit concerned about the scalpel cuts the surgeon has to make. He said he has to make 3 cuts on each leg and I always scar so I don't know if I would want to do it for this reason.

My former coworker had this done, but she did not obtain great results. She went to a board certified surgeon and he recommended that she lose some weight prior to the surgery to enhance the results. She did not lose any weight, and he told her she was not going to be satisfied. She insisted upon getting the surgery and I truly saw no difference once she showed off her "improvements". Should have listened to the doctor!!! By the way, I didn't see if there were three scars, but she did have two very visible ones.

Oh yes me too. I scar very easily. Luckily I don't have cankles but if I did I would never be able to do liposuction on cankles because the puncture marks from the lipo tubes would far outweigh the benefits of any fat that was sucked out. That's for me at least.
