Considering ab sculpting surgery and came across some very shocking information about this procedure that you have to know before you go under the knife and shell out the money for it. Basically what I read is that if you gain any weight after the surgery, even 5 or 7 pounds, the weight will return in all areas including the stomach area you had liposuction on.

Now here's the kicker. Let's say you then naturally drop those 5 or 7 lbs by yourself. It doesn't matter. There will still be some weight left on your abs, more than after you got the surgery. This really scares me because this is a lot of money and I don't want to pay thousands only to have results that aren't permanent.

I don't think it's a scam. If you don't gain back the weight then you should be good.

Too many people get lipo then think of it as an excuse to pig out and then they just end up back where they started. This is why you need to be even more disciplined after surgery so you don't have to redo it, especially with something like abdominal sculpting.

I think the reason some people say it is a scam is that they get it done and then they pig out afterwards and inflate up like a beach ball. Then they wonder why the definition in their abs is gone geez wiz I wonder!

People do the same with diets. It works for a while then they go back to their old eating habits and gain weight again.

As usual, la_angel is correct. Lipo is often mistaken as the quick fix for fat removal. People think they can go back to their old sedentary habits and eating habits. This mindset is not going to work, especially for the long run. Losing weight permanently is not about a DIET (look at the first three letters of diet ). It is about permanently altering your eating habits to better oneself, day by day, as any addiction (and yes, overeating is an addiction, if anyone had a doubt). Exercise should be a simple part of life because a person enjoys taking care of themselves.

Like I always say, the quick fix is often not THE fix you need.

Oh, and I'm not sure why you're listing a possible nose job for Paula Abdul, but she has had several surgeries including fillers, facelift, browlift, breast implants, and yes ... rhinoplasty.

I guess we just all have to be extra careful when it comes to what we do. So that only use it if you know that it's for real, other wise skip it and move on.

Yes, I've heard a lot of the scams screw it up when it comes to the spelling, so that you really have to pay attention to the spelling.
