difference between the surgeries What is the difference between Liposuction, Liposculpture and Lipoaspiration? |
Liposuction and Liposculpture are quasi synonyms. At present, for Liposculpture, we mean a Liposuction with a multiplanar approach which also includes superficial Liposuction and the use of fat for refilling sunken areas (Lipofilling or Lipostructure), to obtain a global remodeling of the areas to be treated. |
Liposuction, also known as lipoplasty ("fat modeling"), liposculpture or suction lipectomy ("suction-assisted fat removal") is a cosmetic surgery operation that removes fat from many different sites on the human body. Areas affected can range from the abdomen, thighs, buttocks, to the neck, backs of the arms and elsewhere. Liposculpture goes beyond liposuction. Liposuction consists in vacuuming fat clusters, while liposculpture aims at harmonizing a person's profile or silhouette . Like a sculptor, the cosmetic surgeon removes a bit of fat here and there , eliminates excess fat pockets , fills in hollow areas through fat implants, and tones down irregularities thanks to internal lipotransfers-all of which is performed without cutaneous excision |
Thanks for sharing nice article. it's really useful about liposcution. |

Liposuction is a surgical technique that improves the body's contour by removing excess fat from deposits located between the skin and muscle.Liposuction is surgery to improve the contour of your body by removing pockets of excess fat from specific areas of the body. "Lipo" comes from the Greek word "lipos," meaning fat. Other names for liposuction are lipoplasty and suction lipectomy. Liposculpting is recommended by proponents as a way to remove or mitigate fat deposits that will not go away, despite diet and exercise. These fat deposits are often a result of genetics, and can be difficult to get rid off without cosmetic surgery. However the procedure can only remove a limited amount of fat per session, so heavier patients may need more than one treatment. Liposculpture is not meant as a weight-loss surgery, as fat is light and the suction procedure may not remove more than a few ounces. |
