Default Pure tumescent lipo vs Smart Lipo

Can anyone tell me the difference between smart lipo and pure tumescent lipo? I am just starting to do my research about the procedures. I am tired of my "saddle bags"!

Any one have any thoughts on either procedure?

Well smart lipo isn't true lipo - it's just a laser that supposedly melts away the fat. My worry is what else is it melting away in your body?

I had Smart Lipo to try and shrink my loose skin, but I don't really see any improvement in that area. I didn't really have all that much fat to remove so I don't know much about this part of it. I really just need to be put in the dryer and shrink all my skin!

Thanks La Angel and Barbie Doll,

LA Angel - that is a scary thought! Have you had lipo done, were you happy with your results if you did have it?

Barbie Doll - I know what you mean my loose skin, I am wondering about that affect as well. When did you have your lipo?

Default becca12 have you heard of Vaser?

hey becca12,
Since your researching Smart Lipo, try doing some research on Vaser. I had the procedure done on a Friday afternoon and was continuing my normal life by noon on Saturday. There was very little pain just some slight soreness and swelling. The bruising was less than I expected and disappeared completely within a week.

Thanks, I'll look at vaser as well! I was leaning towards pure tumescent lipo because of the local anesthesia aspect.

Where did you have your procedure done. I am starting to look at docs in Southern California.

hey becca12
I've read a lot people posting that their smart lipo PO is taking months for swelling to go away. My Vaser liposuction recovery was very, very easy. I had absolutely no pain, no swelling.

I had my procedure back in April 2007. I think you can go to the Vaser website and they have a physician locator. You just type in your zip code and they tell you all of the doctors that offer Vaser in your area. Good luck!
