Default In office Lipo- ok if on blood pressure medicine?

I had a tummy tuck 9 months ago and I need to have some lipo on my lower hips that my PS is willing to do for free. He is going to do it in his office with a local anethestic. He said it is ok if I am on BP meds but I have read on the internet that it can be dangerous to mix lidocaine with them. Does anyone know anything about this??

Default

As long as blood pressure is controlled, the procedure is safe, however, certain medications in general, not just blood pressure medications can interfere with lidocaine metabolism, so this needs to be checked out during the consultation.

Default Health

MD247 doctors and telemedicine program members are legitimately given the opportunity to connect, allowing a patient the chance to talk to a doctor without that doctor worrying about time and overhead.
