Liposuction on knees
Anyone had this procedure? I did two days ago - and was wondering about the recuperative stages. Am seeing swelling, as expected - am told to wear compression garment 24/7 for 3 to 5 days. Hate it, but wil. Would love to hear from anyone else and what they experienced. Thanks.
Welcome to the forum! :)
I haven't had knee liposuction but I have heard the compression garment is very important for it (and ankle liposuction) so wear that as long as your plastic surgeon recommends!
I would love to hear more about the procedure. Where exactly did the surgeon make the incision for the liposuction tube?
p.s. You should post some pictures, don't worry know one will know who you are from just seeing your knees :p
Knee lip is usuall done behind the inner aspect of the knee in the popliteal crease.
Did you have this procedure done in addition to lipo on your inner thighs? This is a common combo.
Thanks for the welcome. I had about 3 incisions on each knee. Two on the outer sides of the knee cap and one above it. I'm not feeling any pain or real discomfort, a little tightness & there is some bruising. It's been since last Thursday so 5 days now. I do notice a little more smoothness above the knee where there was a lump (of fat) before - but not too substantial. I know that it will take time, and that there is definite swelling, especially be end of day, if I've been walking around. With Mother's day yesterday ate more salty foods, glass(es) of wine so was swollen and my legs felt tighter even with the compression tights on. I actually feel a little puffy all over, but I partially blame the fact that I'm not moving around & sitting around 'relaxing' while perhaps snacking more. I anticipate a smoother silhouette to my knee most likely in a month's time. There really isn't much out there on lipo on the knee & I've been looking at a lot of threads on liposuction.
Snacking is not something you should do after lipo. :(
Yes, liposuction on knees is not something you hear much about (except in the rumor mill, they say Demi Moore did that, but that's neither here nor there :p) Please keep us up to date on your recovery, but those salty foods will wreck havoc on your swelling, so please stay away ;)
