Liposuction for older women
Hello. I am an older women, 68. My health is excellent except for a bad knee. Since my early fifties this donut of fat has formed around my waist. Nothing I do will get rid of it. Am I too old for liposuction to fix this?

Welcome to the forum!!! :)

Age is not usually a consideration, but older patients may have less skin elasticity. Therefore, your desired results may not be achieved, as they would with a younger individual.

And please be careful of plastic surgeons who want to lead you to believe that's not the case. Some will be all to eager to tell you what you want to hear, because they look at patients with a dollar sign stamped on their forehead.

But yes, liposuction for older women can turn out successfully for some people. How would you compare your skin to others around that age? Of course to find out for sure, you will need the opinion of a reputable liposuction plastic surgeon (one that is not motivated to say "yes" just to close a deal).
