don't get lip implants. any doctor who is honest will tell you lip injections are MUCH better. I use restylane on my lips and it lets my natural lip contour still be in tact as it moves whereas implants go across the whole lip. also if u want them removed i think it could leave your lips slightly disfigured. long story short, don't do that.
Fascia
Now this is the connective tissue that covers your muscles in different areas of your body including the scalp area above the ear which is where the surgeon will most likely take it from. Fascia normally lasts 6 to 12 months only with a price of $1500 to $3000.
Alloderm/Dermaplant
This is freeze dried collagen taken from deceased human donors. It's made in sheets and the placement results soft natural feeling lips. This method costs around $1500 to $3000 and up and only lasts about a year.
Gore-Tex
This is a common material that's between cloth and rubber used for everything from combat boots to raincoats. This is a permanent solution but you are putting a foreign non-bio material in your body. Another disadvantage is it may push it's way out of your lips over time. This material supposedly doesn't feel very natural. The price is around the same at $1500 to #3000.
Does anyone still do lip implants? I would think with all the injectable fillers on the market nowadays, the idea of actually inserting an implant into your lips would be prehistoric. Yours lips are so sensitive I can't see how anyone would want to feel a hard silicone strip of other implant inside. You gotta be crazy to do something like that!
My girlfriend has the Perma Facial or Perma Lip Implants and loves them. Easy to get done and completely removable in case you don't want them in at a later date or if you want to change sizes!
