| My recommendation to you ... Juvederm Plus.
I have stated this before and I'll state it again: lip implants LOOK and FEEL fake! The V-Y augmentation was approved in 2004, but it still is not highly sought after due to poor results. most people who get it are either those who cannot afford to maintain injections or those who have Body Dysmorphic Disorder and just can't go big enough.
I had Restylane. It results in excessive bruising post procedure, looks real, but does not last long.
Actual place/site of injection and amount of filler are both very important to maintain a natural look.

| I thought about getting lip augmentation aswell .....but i dont like the idea of having to go back and inject again and again. *Ouch*
Has anyone heard of the new “FulFil” implant?
I looked in to it and it’s supposed to be the next best thing. It’s supposed to feel more natural than the other implants. Anyone heard about it? …I saw a news clip on youtube and it’s basically some kind of cloth looking empty bag that they put in your lips and then fill it up to size. I also remember them saying that they’re working on improving the implant even further and making it so you can go back and “resize it” if your not happy. Smaller or bigger. If I do finally go thorough with it and get “lip implants” I’d probably go with the FulFil….
Anyone that knows better about it I’m all ears!

| FulFil ?? I wasn’t really able to find many articles about it on the internet except for a few blurbs…I wonder if maybe its not catching on for some reason…here’s one of the things I found for those interested in knowing more… Lip Augmentation - Health News Story - WSOC Charlotte
…and I believe this is the “cloth like” material I was referring to before… VeraMesh Bioengineered Tissue Replacement
I got the above site linked from this article…(all of these are from 2008) Double D lip implants: pig intestines or saline? | All The Rage | Los Angeles Times
…yes, I just realized the youtube news clips I saw were from Dr. Michael Salzahuer…I think he would be one of the few doctors that offer it in Florida I don’t know about other areas. Again if anyone has had this done or knows more about it and what doctors are using “FulFil” let me know….and also if anyone knows if there is a reason why its not more well known or talked about ….could be I just don’t know how to research…because really I don’t |

| Thanks for the information, Newbie! I hadn't heard of FulFil before but it sounds atrocious. Really, a bag they put in your lips? With lip augmentation you don't want much of a change and I think that's why injectables are the best route to go (I would be worried that the bag alone would be too much) |

| LOL…You’re right la_angel…I didn’t take in to account the bag itself making your lips bigger….Thing is its sucks to have to maintain the look every few months. I'd like to get in get out and get on with life. It seems that the only permanent option would be implants.
Has anyone had experiance with fat transfers? I know you lose most of it during the course of time especially if you lose weight. Although i've been told that once the excess dissolves, what ever is left is permanent....but is this really true? ...And is there a risk of your lips becoming lumpy or uneven ??
…also…. Would Juvederm Ultra Plus still be considered the better option vs fat transfer?

| Sometimes it results in lumps (and clumps!), so until they perfect it, I'd steer clear.
