Hey everyone.. I dont know if this is the best place to post a question like this but I have tried at different dermatology forums to no avail.

I recently had a bout with a couple of lip infections, mostly on the lower lip, which caused some swelling and scabbing. Things have since healed up but it seems now like my lower lip has lost a lot of it's elasticity which has caused it to sag some and lose definition. It also seems to be maintaining a more permanent swollen look to it now. My upper lip has also seemed to lose some definition and just doesnt seem to have the same look to it as before.

I was thinking maybe it could just be a normal aging process and not related to the infections but I am only 28 yo so it doesnt really make any sense.. Has anyone heard of lip infections doing this kind of damage before? And could you guys suggest any kind of lip products to restore the firmness/elasticity? I dont have the money for any kind of surgery. It feels odd asking these questions as I am a straight 28 yo male but this thing is having a pretty drastic effect on my appearance. Thanks for any help in advance guys..

dont know much about it but will try to be helpful. I have lip injections about twice per year (pretty shoddy but this is London). i come out in coldsores every couple of months and last year had a really nasty one aabove my lip - it sort of sat on a lump of restylne thus enhancing the beautiful look. The restylane went hard and stayed as ball for few months - everywhere else had worn off (so I was making the most of some new sores -lol). This implies to me that mouth infections will interact with the restylane in unforeseen manners. at som e point the hard infected ball just deflates and so maybe thats where the loss of dfinition comes from.I really try to minimise the prevalence of big lumps of filler by helping the woman out and then giving them a good massage (too late). I take anti herpes meds everywherrererere!!!!!! my bumpy deformed mouth is the talk of swinging London
