Default Complete Guide to Laser Hair Removal Machines

Laser hair removal technology has come a long way since the first laser for hair removal received FDA clearance in the mid 1990’s. While older generation lasers were slow, very painful and worked only on individuals with very dark hair and very light skin, today there are lasers that can work on all skin colors, even tanned skinned and can be performed on any (yes, any) area of the body.

The list of machines available for laser hair removal includes the Alexandrite system, the diode laser, the ND Yag laser, the Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) therapy machine, and the Ruby Laser machine. There is not a single best laser for hair removal on all patients. Many different products of these laser hair removal machines are available from numerous manufacturers. It is no necessary to shop specifically by laser brand name.

When choosing a laser hair removal machine, it is important to find which laser system to get and which meets your needs. Each of the five laser systems has its pros and cons.

The Ruby Laser is the "original " hair removal laser with a deep-red wave at 694nm which can be very well absorbed by the melanin pigment in hair, making it an excellent choice for fine and light hair. However, because melanin is present in the skin as well, the Ruby laser machines are not safe for use on people with fair skin. This device is less painful than most hair removal machines, and it is usually used on small areas of skin. Because of this limitation, slow repetition rate, and relatively small spot size, Ruby lasers have become less popular for laser hair removal in recent years.

The Alexandrite Laser machines utilize a continuous laser light wavelength that penetrates the skin at a depth of 755nm. With its large spot size and high repetition rate, the Alexandrite laser is one of the quickest hair removal devices, and is suitable for rapid treatment of large body areas with light to olive complexion. Alexandrite laser machines are best suited for people with fair skin and dark hair, but it can produce hypo-pigmentation in those with dark skin.

The Diode Laser machines can produce a high power laser diode emitting infrared (invisible) light at ~800-808nm. The longer wavelength penetrate the skin deeper than the Alexandrite device. The diode laser hair removal system works on the widest range of people with varying skin types and hair colors. This device is effective for use on people with olive or darker skin who have brown or black hair because of the penetration level, but effective for lighter and finer hair.

ND Yag laser machines produce two different types of light(1064 and 532 nm). The 1064nm wavelength targets the hair follicles far beneath the surface of the skin, while the 532nm wavelength penetrates the follicles closer to the skin surface. It is safe for dark skin. The Nd:YAG laser can be used on all skin types, including tanned skin. With large spot sizes and fast repetition rates, it can treat large areas quickly. The disadvantage is less effective clearance for fine and light hairs than some other hair removal lasers.

IPL stands for Intense Pulsed Light, and is not a ‘laser’ hair removal system. The IPL laser machine emits multiple light wavelengths through the skin and targets the hair follicles at various different levels. These machines can cover large areas of the skin in a shorter amount of time than other devices. It is safe for most skin types, but it is not as effective as other machines on light-colored hair. However, because most of the light energy is in the shorter wavelengths, treatment of darker skin types is less effective than with the appropriate laser.

The spot size is also a important factor to consider. A smaller spot size means a longer treatment. A longer treatment may also increase discomfort and a need for topical numbing. A larger spot size offers not only the advantage of faster treatment, but also additional safety and efficacy. As spot size increases, a lower percentage of the delivered light energy scatters outside of the treatment area, increasing the depth of pentration, and allowing a lower energy setting to be used for treatment.

The type of cooling system the laser equipped with is also very important. A laser should have consistent cooling in order to ensure patient safety and comfort.

The new style diode laser hair removal machine from Zhengzhou PZ Aurora Beauty & Technology Co., Ltd.(I lipo laser slimming machine - laser lipo machine for sale - Top lipo laser) emits a 808nm near infrared laser light which can be well absorbed by melanin. It is equipped with USA imported 600w high power diode laser bars,Italian imported water cooling system, German Laser source and a medical water filtration system. The high power 600w laser system guarantees a high power output for the treatment and a less pain and effective result. The strong sapphire built-in temperature-controlled Italian imported water cooling system ensure skin temperature down to 0~-5°C and allows for maximum safety and comfort during treatment, even without the use of gel. It also ensure 24 hours continuous working without a stop. The Big spot size of 14x14 mm2 help laser light penetrate deeper and ensures faster, smooth and effective treatment on big treatment areas. The new style 808nm diode laser hair removal machine provides an effective and safe way to remove unwanted hair for all skin type.
