I came to find reviews of Ann Arbor plastic surgeons. must be board certified and can't cost too much. I have too much fat on my face and want to make it more chiseled. I hear they do injections now to dissolve fat and that sounds easy to me. please tell me how to achieve this and what surgeon will do this for less than $1,000. I can drive to Detroit if needed. thx

You want fillers vs. lipo? That's a bit confusing.

Do you have excessive fat exclusively on your face or is it elsewhere as well? The reason I am asking is because if you have an excess of fat everywhere, many docs will not operate on you if you are attempting to remove fat. You shouldn't need fillers if you have more fat than you want.

No lipo. I'm talking about the injections they can do to dissolve fat and get rid of it. I want a plastic surgeon around Ann Arbor that can do them on the cheap to make my face and jaw more chiseled. please tell me who I can go to for this. thx

Are you overweight? If you are most docs will not perform this surgery if you have more than 5-8 lbs of excess fat anywhere on your body.

It is considered a controversial approach. There are safety issues as well. Effectiveness has not been evaluated as well. More research is needed. It seems like a temporary fix with minor results. Why not consider lipo?

What is the actual issue with your face? What areas need work? How old are you? This info might help myself and other board members to assist you in making good projections as to what your results might be.

I would strongly advise against the type of injections you are referring to. Even if you aren't a doctor, common sense alone should be a strong warning. Remember, if it is powerful enough to dissolve it, just imagine what else it is destroying in your body? Plus, remember that we have one circulatory system. Anything injected will be spread throughout your entire body to at least some degree, including your vital organs.

Regarding Ann Arbor plastic surgeons, unfortunately I will not be a great deal of help. I do have a friend that was operated on by Dr. Brown (first name unknown) in or around Detroit (I believe for a tummy tuck) but do not know the price paid. She was satisfied with the results, but being that I did not see myself, I cannot say whether or not I would feel the same.
