![]() | a new dermal injectable filler that is made with natural collagen derived from pig tendons (yucky!) BUT the collagen is cross linked with sugar so there's no synthetic substances with it. they say this mimics the 3-d structure of your body's own collagen so it's identical to it. this makes the results more natural looking than other fillers according to the manufacturer of evolence. the best part is the results last up to 12 months! it sounds like it can be used for all the normal things you use an injectable filler for except the border of the lips or around the eyes (don't know why that's just what they say) this sounds promising i'd like to know when it will hit the u.s. market. The manufacturer is 'ColBar LifeScience' and right now evolence is in fda trial. yay soon we will get it! : |

![]() | I've been following Evolence and I do not think it will prove to be popular. Since the active ingredient is derived from an animal, there are risks of reaction to the collagen (approximately 3% from what I recall) which is relatively high. That's 1 in 30 patients. That in addition to individual testing on the patient before they use the product is not appealing. I think what we'll see is Juvederm Ultra Plus and Perlane, the two longer-lasting hyaluronic acid injectable fillers, maintaining their lions shares of the market. Even a plastic surgery forum such as this reiterates these as being favorites among the fillers. The only thing I see knocking them off the top is another hyaluronic acid based filler which lasts longer than 6 to 9 months.

![]() | Yeah I don't see this Evolence stuff being a hit if you can be allergic to it and 12 months isn't that much better of the stuff out now. |

![]() | I do NOT see this Evolence injections doing well. Think about it- you would need to get and pay for a test before the injection. Sounds like a hassle and pricey. There's no point here when the long lasting Juvederm is 7 to 9 months. Unless this stuff is like half the price of Juvederm no one's going to shell out money for tests and all that just so it can last 2 months longer!!! |

![]() | Seems like this will be another failed product like that Artefill junk. Just because it's longer lasting doesn't mean it's better if there's side effects ![]() |
