Can you inject restylane into the nose?

Does anyone know if Restylane Juvederm etc can be used on the tip of the nose? I have a botched up nose job where the doctor did an open rhinoplasty that caused the skin to shrink wrap at the end exposing all the cartilage grafts underneath. You can literally see my nose job because all the grafts are showing through. Just a warning this won't show up for a year or two after surgery and it only happens with open rhino because of how they pull the skin, it doesn't happen with closed. Anyway do you know if a doctor could use some filler like Restylane on the tip of my nose to cover up the grafts? I bet it would hurt like hell but anything is better than looking like this.

Come on can anyone answer this? I know there's got to be someone out there that has done this or at least thought about juvederm/restylane injections into their nose and tip of nose.

HELP?!?!

For starters another solution you may not be aware of is botulinum toxins, or Botox, to alter the shape of a nasal tip. For several years now Botox has been used on the nose for recontouring of the tip. It works by relaxing the lavator labii superioris alaeque, nasalis, and depressor septi thus altering the appearance of the anterior. For changing the sidewall of the nose Botox is injected directly into the nasalis. Restylane and Juvederm have the advantage of providing softer correct which is needed if you have thinner skin. Calcium based fillers such as Radiesse I would strongly recommend against using anywhere near the nasal tips. Fillers are mainly used in the nose to improve contour and profile. Hyaluronic acid fillers such as Restylane and Juvederm have been used to fill in necrosis following cutaneous flaps as well as cutaneous depression resulting from full thickness skin grafts.

I thought Botox only relaxes muscles? I don't get how injecting Botox in the nose tip could change it all. I guess maybe change the way it looks when you're smiling if there's muscles pulling it. But there isn't any muscles in the nose:confused:

yes, you can inject juvederm into the nose

Yes, I have been doing it to my nose for the past 6 years because of a PS who gave me an overly refined (small) nose. I have the injections to make it look less like a nose job and to fill it out. So far, I think juvederm works the best.
Good Luck!!
