| Self injection of restylane to save money? My doctor in Beverly Hills charges $595 for regular Juvederm and $695 for Juvederm Ultra Plus. I am only talking about medical professionals that are trained and licensed to use these injectables on ourselves because that is allowed by the law for us. I am NOT talking about regular people doing it. NOTE BY ADMIN: Although this thread clearly states it is a discussion for medical professionals only (only for the ones whom are legally allowed to self-inject) it has been closed by the administrator due to potential confusion from the thread's title. |

| Bottom line is I agree with all the posters above me -- doing so by a regular person is illegal and no one should try it. |

| Please re-read my original post. I am in no way advocating self-injection. I wrote that piece as an informative post only. Just as the news may report a bombing, doesn't mean they are supporting you to go out and do it. My story above should be interpreted no differently.

| Injecting the fillers yourself is a VERY risky job.
It is meant to be done by the professionals.
If done improperly, it can ruin your skin.
I also agree that surgeons charge too much for this, but we have no other option. And I think that guy who injected Juvederm himself had these injections before from a trained surgeon. That's why he was able to get good results without much experience.
I again advice that you people should not try this yourself, you should go to the professionals. |

| Do it yourself lip injections? After seeing a thread on the plastic surgery message board on here about injectables, I'm just curious if any doctors or nurses have ever attempted do it yourself lip injections? I am in NO WAY advocating or recommending someone do that. But I just know there are people out there that have probably attempted or thinking about attempting it.
Injections of the lips hurt like hell and I cant imagine doing it by yourself. A lot of people cry when they get injected because it hurts that much in this area. Your lips are so sensitive. |

| Hotfloridabunny in my opinion, you are very brave. I say this after all of the horror stories I have seen, heard of, and read about. I would never administer my own surgery. My appearance is very important to me and I would not want any complications. Good luck to you brave girl!!!
