Question Fore head lift complications?

I am considering having a face lift since losing weight but am worried about the complications and what they might entail. Does anyone have any recommendations on this procedure? I also don't want to end up with horrible results I want to look natural and not have the "surprised" look. Can any one on plastic surgery forum help me with this dilemma? I would also love to know some information and advice on choosing a surgeon. Thanks

Yeah I would say that 90% of lifts result in too much being done. Plastic surgeons really need to realize that they only need to do a little bit to make a big impact. When it comes to a forehead lift this is definitely the fast. The eyebrows raised too high do not look good in my opinion. I think it looks best to have eye brows which are kind of close to the eyes actually and then higher up as they arch out.

Jessica Lange is an example of a browlift gone wrong. Check it out:

This list may have some examples of good and bad forehead/browlifts:

Also this thread is about forehead/browlifts ... NOT facelifts.

Every surgery is associated with a risk. However, if done well, they are manageable. I would say the complications of forehead lift or brow lift all depends on your skin type and the surgeon who does the procedure. Most surgeries are followed by discomforts like swelling, reddening and scars, but these may vanish after one or two days depending on the type of surgery.

Choose a doctor who well know about the things and also who have successful experiences. Infection is a severe risk and hence you should have to follow some pre-operative preparations as mentioned by your doctor. Smoking, intake of alcohol and other drugs should be stopped one month before the surgery date.
