| Most ever spent by a person on plastic surgery Does anyone know what is the most ever spent by someone on plastic surgery? Actually I'm really surprised when I've seen on talk shows and stuff they show someone with a lot of work done but then the total price they paid isn't that much, like 50k for a whole face and body makeover. Are they getting a good deal or what because if they can do all that for that much, then why do some ripoff doctors try and charge 25k for a freaking nose job alone. |

| It's very easy to spend several hundred thousand dollars on plastic surgery believe it or not. I am always surprised at the rather low estimates mentioned in the tabloid fodder when speculating on the amount a given celebrity has spent. A rhinoplasty alone can run as much as $30,000 depending on the complexity. A face lift can cost the same amount also. Add in various body and facial surgical enhancements and it is easy to run up a bill of $300,000 in no time. Furthermore, if revision operations are needed for any of the above this only adds on to the total.

| My bud's mother isn't a record breaker but she has spent a lot of money for sure on cosmetic surgery. She has gotten like everything you can possibly get done and she is proud of it. |

| Yeah, but does she THINK she looks good, or has her appearance truly improved in your opinion? Of course it is her opinion that matters regarding herself, however the rest of the world CAN see her as well ...

| When it comes to plastic surgery I think we should all take the approach that less is more, and the cat lady is a perfect example.
It's true there are circumstances where multiple surgeries are necessary for some people (like rhinoplasty) but that's only because it's hard to find doctors that can do it right. |

| Less is definitely more, for the most part.
What happens is people perceive one surgery to be a success, and they assume if they get more work done, they will look EVEN better. Most times, it does not work out the way they desire.

| I do think there are situations (well mainly just the nose) where sometimes more surgeries look more natural than just one. Because rhinoplasty often turns out botched, sometimes you need to go under the knife again just to look normal again. |
