revisionrhinoplasty is on a distinguished road

Default Are you sure whether you need Rhinoplasty or Septoplasty?

Lately if you are contemplating a nose surgery then you should be sure about your needs, and for that you must know the difference between rhinoplasty and septoplasty. While you may think that rhinoplasty is the only procedure needed by you, it may happen that having done septoplasty alone or a combination of both would benefit you more. In situations, where an individual is unsatisfied with the way his/her nose looks and wants to improve it with the help of a surgery then you should have rhinoplasty. In short, rhinoplasty is mostly done for aesthetic reasons and is not typically a medical necessity.

Rhinoplasty, better referred as a nose job, can straighten a crooked nose, enlarge or decrease its size, refine the nasal tip, remove the nasal bump, etc. Septoplasty, on the other hand, is needed for functional reasons as it is performed to correct a deviated septum, which is one of the common causes of chronic snoring, nasal congestion and recurrent headaches. It is obvious that a deviated septum has the potential to severely affect your quality of life. A septoplasty may not always intend to craft a perfect nose, but it aims to correct the functional problems of nose along with bringing it in harmony with other facial features.

It is always important to note that septoplasty surgery in New York is more is concerned with treating septal problems instead of producing an aesthetic pleasing nose. Individuals who frequently experience headaches, difficulty in breathing, regular nosebleeds and sinusitis are more likely to have a crooked or deformed septum. The recovery time of septoplasty may range between seven days to three weeks. During septoplasty recovery period the patients are firmly asked to avoid any kind of exhausting physical activities. Continuous physical movements during this time can put unnecessary pressure on the recovering nose, making you feel uncomfortable.
