facelift-how long does it look good? I am about to have a extended macs facelift, however my daughter has just surprised everyone and named her wedding day, april 2010. I am now left in the position of not knowing whether to go ahead with my surgery now or wait until nearer the wedding. My problem being, will the facelift still look really good 19 months down the line or will things start to sag slightly by then? We are told it takes about 10 years off, but when do noticable signs ofageing begin to show again. Obviously I want to look my best on the big day, help ! |
A facelift lasts about 10 years. Well, no one (other than your surgeon) can tell you how long will it take to show the signs of ageing. It is different from skin to skin. Normally it takes 2-3 years for minor signs to pop up. |
Shelling out 25k every 10 years for a face lift? OUCH! |
Depends on the type of facelift. If you have an old-fashioned one where they are just pulling and cutting your skin, usually only a few years; the skin starts to stretch again within 12 months. If you have a modern facelift, where the ligaments get reattached, it should last about 7-12 years. |
My mom had one 5 years ago and she still looks good so I guess it's safe to say at least 5 but who knows how much longer. |
