can blepharoplasty alter the appearance/shape/size of eyes in any way, or does it strictly reduce wrinkles and bags around eyes. Because I was looking at some before and afters, and it seems some peoples eyes seem to get a tad smaller after the surgery?
Hi there mike i have just had my surgery from a top plastic surgeon in the uk (2 weeks ago) Blepharoplasty and yes you are correct. You have to have a good surgeon who specialises in this field especially when doing men as some surgeons can create a feminine look to the finish once men have gone under the knife which is not a good look. Also you have to be careful not to create a round eye effect which is were the surgeon has over pulled on the lower part of the eye and stitched the uderlining muscle back in place causing dragging. I used a surgeon called Dr Douglas McGeorge board cert and teaches other surgeons. The results are brilliant as he does a vertical lift to not only correct the nasolabial foilds which appear on most men but a lower eye job and the way he stitches you up is amazing as he puts the crease in the corners of the eyes to hide any scarring. I am 38 and he has too between 8 and 10 years off my age. The whole procedure which was lower and upper face lift including lower eyes and 1 nights stay was £3145 british pounds well worth the travel and you know you are in safe hands.
