Healing after Blepharoplasty? Is this Normal?
 

I am 7 days post-op today and I'm very concerned about my healing from upper & lower blepharoplasty. My right eye developed a bit of chemosis and looks droopier than my left eye :Freak:. I know healing takes a while, but I really thought I'd be looking a lot better than I am right now.

I had the stitches taken out today and the dr. says I need to give it time, and that my eyes should start feeling and looking better. I am just afraid I may have developed ptosis :eek: from the surgery and would like to know if this can be a normal thing or not.....I realize everyone is different, but is it possible my eyes will eventually even out, or is this really something to get alarmed over?

I am in nursing school so I am a bit more paranoid about these things than most people. (Doc says medical and nursing students make the worst patients, LOL!)

Any advise is greatly appreciated!

If you have insurance I would recommend going to a ophthalmologist about this.
