How long does a chin implant last? I do not need one but I am curious. Do you have to get them redone every decade or so like you do with breast implants or do they last permanently? I hate the idea that I will need a new boobjob ten years from now to have mine cut up again and get even more scars so I wouldn't even want to do a chin implant if that's what was needed.

Silicone chin implants do not need to be replaced, especially if they are fastened into place with screws. Other types do require replacement, as the body absorbs the compounds they are composed of.

Theoretically they do last forever but if you have it in your body for 60 to 80 years the truth is they don't know exactly how the hard silicone will break down in the body. They've only done simulation tests, which it passed. But what really happens, only time will tell they haven't been around long enough to know.
