cleft chin implants - do they exist? anyone????? |
Your title made me chuckle so I just plugged the term into Google. To my surprise they DO make cleft implants. Just not many manufacturers or doctors advertise them. |

lol :p well technically it's a birth defect not genetic, the only reason it happens is the babies lip and pallet does not form completely when it's in the uterus. Any yes, that is what I want :) |
A company called Spectrum Medical makes cleft chin implants. They make a wide array of different kinds of chin implants. That's just one manufacturer, I'm sure there's others. http://www.spectrumdesignsmedical.co...chin_cleft.jpg |
forgot i made this post :goog eyes: what's wrong with that i want a cleft chin implant? they can look good on some people just not people with the name john travolta :p how to make a cleft chin i guess is a defect though bec it's when the chin bones don't fuse together or soemthing but whatever i like it. i wonder if these chin implants with the cleft on them look good if you don't naturally have a cleft chin? i have a friend with a "real" chin that's cleft and i definitely don't think it is. do you know how to tell if someone has had chin implant? he even has the incision under his chin which is a dead giveaway. i know he has one! |
I have a Cleft Chin Implant I have the one made from spectrum and it looks great. I think it really ads interest to my face and makes my chin look handsome. Its a nice deep cleft too like Aaron Eckhardts. I wear a really thick bushy mustache and now my big cleft chin sticks out underneath it and thats exactly the look I wanted. Dr. Terry Murphy in Denver installed it for me and he did a great job. Its very natural looking and I don't wear a gotee anymore to cover up my handsome chin. |
do you by any chance know which spectrum model you got? i think they have different depths for the cleft chin implants. was this a drastic change or if someone didn't see you for a year would they just think you shaved off your goatee? i'm going to google this plastic surgeon dr. terry murphy. |
My new Cleft Chin Is Great! I got the largest implant they make. Its the the one with a "c" dimension of 1.0 cm. I get comments on it all the time. The cleft is noticiable and severla people have asked to touch it. I'm about 2 weeks after surgery right now. I still have a little swelling but it goes away a little everyday. The hardest part is shaving my new butt chin. It's hard to get the razor in the cleft. I have a heavy beard so I need to shave often. |
Hey saw your post from the main page and had to check this out. I don't know anything really about jaw implants but I can tell you my jaw was broken and the swelling lasts a long time. So if you just had surgery your chin/jaw will be swollen for a while. It should keep getting better and better from here on out. You'll notice it looking more defined and probably take 3 to 6 months to see the final result. Notice I said that final result should be even better than what you have now. So if it looks great now it will just keep getting better. I know this from other people I've known that have gotten facial implants. Good luck man. |
