Plastic surgeon Dr. Amir Karam reviews
 

Hello,

Has anybody had surgery or consulted with Dr. Karam in San Diego? His work looks pretty impressive, but I always find it somewhat suspicious when there are ZERO bad reviews for any doctor. Here's his website:

Specifically, I'm looking at a chin implant replacement (possibly) and non-surgical rhinoplasty.

Any thoughts on this doc would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, I was looking at him too. I'm having a really hard time finding a rhinoplasty surgeon in San Diego. Have you checked into Paul Chasan? I was going to go for a consult but had to cancel. Do you know if Dr Karam charges a consult fee? Dr Chasan charges $100. Ugh. I was also looking into Dr Steven Cohen- He supposedly was in the Connely book of top doctors, but I've seen some nasty reviews of him. I do recall someone saying they'd seen a bad review someone else had posted, but they didn't say where they saw that. Let me know if you find anyone in our area!

Did you check out the review at yelp.com? It's not very flattering. All those glowing 5 star reviews that pop up when you do a web search look like marketing ads. I clicked on one of the names to find out what else he posted and there was plethra of other "have you been injured in an auto accident" reviews from him (bail companies, injury lawyers etc). So I kinda doubt most of those are real. I'm beginning to think there aren't any good surgeons in this area..

Dr. Karam seemed like a very nice guy. However, I didn't have surgery with him so I can't comment on his surgical skill. Before and after photos look great, though.

I may go back in and do non-surgical rhinoplasty with him. I'll let you know how it goes.
