Chin implant pain
 

do chin implants hurt a year after surgery? i have had a throbbing pain in my chin and it has been about a year since the surgery. the pain feels like something is pushing on the implant, like my real bone is still growing but the chin implant is there getting in its way.

i have since moved from where i had the surgery and no longer have insurance making it a tough call of what to do. the surgery was when i was 17 1/2 and at that age the bone is still growing maybe and that is why it hurts? i wouldn't classify my chin implant pain as severe but it is worrisome because i don't know what causes it. i want to say it's been maybe going on 3 or 4 weeks now. any ideas if this is normal?

Well I'm no doctor, but I've never heard of chin implants having pain that far out. I would get it checked out by a good plastic surgeon or oral surgeon.

They should NOT be hurting you at this point in time.
