| Well I'm happy to hear the functional portion of your septoplasty was a success
I hope you looked at the picture book of other rhinoplasty patients while you were there? |

| I posted the morph up...he did exactly what I had in mind. The new nose is still very strong, even slightly prominent, but more perfected to my face. Unlike the morphs I did, I can really see an enhancement to my overall appearance. I can understand now why he was quick to give an outline of what he wanted to do.... it is as if he could just tell exactly what I had in mind!
As far as others not noticing this, I would say the doctor is probably right, if the difference isn't anything drastic, like in the morph. I was never known for being the guy with a huge nose, but of course haven't escaped comments completely. Many people think I may be Italian or Jewish (actually half portuguese, half english), and my nose is most definitely the reason! That said, even a subtle change like this may be noticeable as I won't have as much of an ethnic look. If I go through with this, I may have to accept that someone is going to notice exactly what is different about me. Then again, I could just tell them I had the septum fixed for breathing and that straightened out my nose in the process. Of course this could never happen, but who would really know?

| Hi td!!!
I like the profile pic, and the frontal photo shows improvement, however, I think your nose might look too slender in the first after morph. Believe me, there is marked improvement, but I wouldn't take off quite that much. It makes you look more effeminate, whereas in the before picture (I understand your concerns and we have discussed them), you have a masculine and rugged quality about you.
Also, stop worrying that others will notice a change. I have spoken with you, and I know you are doing the surgery for you, but your opinion about your appearance is all that matters. I realize you want to achieve realistic and natural looking results, and if you continue to do your research as well as visit more surgeons you will stay on the right path.
If you have any further posts strictly dedicated to rhinoplasty, I recommend you start a new thread, for purposes of pertinence.
I will respond to your PM a little later.

| Yes, I totally agree... the morphs are a major improvement I can understand the concerns about it possibly being a little too slender, but it's hard for me to tell one way or another because of the lightening (shadowing on the left, light on the right). The shadowed side of course will make anything appear more refined than it really is. I wish the doctor would have had more even lightening when he took the picture. |

| Who established that a chin implant is right for you?
Good idea to make a new thread in the rhinoplasty portion of the forum!

| should i get a chin implant i am getting rhinoplasty done soon and my surgeon said i have a weak chin and that i might want to consider a chin implant as well. i'm scared to do that though because i have a long face shape and i'm afraid the chin implant will make my face look longer. but i also trust my surgeon's opinion and trust that he will do a good job and if i get the chin implant my face may look more harmonious. i dont' know what to do. Could anyone help me with my decision - if you had a chin implant do you like it?
sorry i meant to make a new thread
