Red face does at home micro dermabrasion work?

i am in need of some B*I*G help on my face! i'm 17 and have all kinds of scars from acne. i think i got it under control now tho bec i started taking birth control and that helped. can anyone know if at home microdermabrasion kits do anything? i would just go to a derm and get a real one but being that i make 7 bucks an hour in the black hellhole of michigan i can't afford it and my parents cant either thanx to the republicans their jobs have been outsourced. ok i'll stop my whining but for real does anyone know if they work? they dont cost much do they i think like 20 or 30 bucks. if it would improve my scars hey i'll do it but i just dont wanna waste my money if it's not gonna do anything. its not like the scars are indentations or potmarks but just discoloration. theres brown spots from where the acne was so i guess i need something that will lighten them?

any recommendations/reviews would be awesome!

I actually looked up at home microdermabrasion reviews a while back. Here I can tell you what one was best that I read I wrote it down here next to my computer. haha paper has been sitting there since before Christmas for me to buy it and I still haven't yet lol so this isn't based on my own ratings just what I read. This is what it is - "Youthful Essence microdermabrasion kit" and they said it's made by the same people who make Proactive so you probably have to buy it on their website. I don't remember what the review said but I wrote $40 down next to the name so I guess that's how much it is. Kinda pricey compared to the cheap ones so it better be worth it. If you try it let me know I'm poor too so I'm holding off on buying it hahaha.

If you want a big change my guess is you're going to have to go with the real deal, laser, or something.
