Default Chemical peels for stretch marks

Do chemical peels for stretch marks work at all? Would do the lasers but my doctor wants to charge me $335 per treatment and thatís way too high. On the way home the idea of doing chemical peels popped in my head, called the office, they said he does basic peels for $115. Will that be strong enough to remove stretch marks? What other options are there on the table for getting rid of them? Iím new to this and want to know what Iím getting myself into. If chemical peels for stretch marks is the way to go is there a certain kind I should ask my derm for? Thank you!

If it a basic peel, sometimes that is not the same as a full chemical peel. Inquire with your surgeon.

Chemical peels can be used for stretch marks removal. The major issue is harsh chemicals are used, therefore, a prolonged skin care regimen will be required before and after the treatment. Results are not as good, nor long lasting as laser treatment.

I would consult with the surgeon, and ask him or her if they have performed chem peels for stretch marks in the past. If the answer is no, go elsewhere. Also, if no before and after photos can be displayed go somewhere else.

Try to discuss this with others who have treated their stretch marks with peels as well, preferably, in person.

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR REPLY! I was going to call first thing monday and go with it but now I realize that's not the best idea. I don't think they do chemical peels for stretch marks because their phone clerk acted like I was speaking a foreign language when asked. I was put on hold twice for her to go ask someone else about it. I went over all their pictures and I do know there wasn't any for stretch marks. I would get the laser stretch mark removal if it works?

Laser is better, but you might have to have several treatments to resolve the issue. Sometimes the results are not as satisfactory as you might desire. Where are your stretch marks? I might be able to help you.
