| I usually advise against buccal fat pad removal (for your situation) if it's just a little "baby fat." You lose fat on the face as you age, so keep that in mind when you're 40, 50, and beyond.
Do you have any extra fat covering your abs or elsewhere? Even if you're slim, sometimes dropping just 3 or 5 pounds more can affect the face by a great deal. |

| haha i'm already a 31 waist and dont know how much weight i have to spare. i could try but i'm super slim as it is. i would tell you if i wasn't because this is an anonymous forum. my body doesn't have any fatty areas. EXCEPT when i sit down and go forward then there are folds on my stomach but that is on everyone. i have a six pack except when i do that. i don't know if i buy your baby fat theory bec i see fat cheeks on 50 yr olds??!

| I see fat cheeks on FAT 50 year old people. Thinner people sometimes get sunken in faces as they age due to loss of fat as they get older, as per la_angel's statement.
Maybe you can post some photos so the forum members can get a better idea of what's actually going on.

| It is truly rare for a slim fifty year old to have fat cheeks. It does happen occasionally, but I hardly ever see that. Often the person whom has plump cheeks is at least a few pounds overweight (but not what would be typically classified as "fat").
How tall are you? A 31 inch waist can be considered overweight on petite male frames (if you have an extremely narrow pelvis). My brother is six feet tall, yet his waist is only 28". Do you know what your body fat percentage is? |

Consider this carefully before undergoing surgery. Meet with a qualified Cosmetic Surgeon to understand your options. Good luck.

| I've had my buccal fat pads removed and I was ssooooo glad I did. I was 29 at the time and had a fat "baby" face, while my body was thin. Having the fat removed makes me look more handsome and masculine and less like a "little boy" like people would tell me I looked like. Some people may tell you to just leave them as they'll atrophy when you're older but that's bad advice because many people of ALL ages have fat, ugly cheeks and 2) even if they do go away over time, do you really want to wait 20 years to become good looking? |
