I was wondering if anyone else on this forum has had malar augmentation with Hydroxyapatite (HA)? I had silicone implants put in about 6 years ago, but had them removed 2 months after they were put in (they were just way too big). Since then I have had malar augmentation with Hydroxyapatite. It was surgically applied, not injected. It took two attempts to get the volume exactly right, but the results are great. I'm looking for others who have had augmentation done with Hydroxyapatite as I'm searching for another surgeon who is skilled in its' use. I recently had my chin/jaw augmentated with HA and I'm not happy with how the results look. I need a second opinion, however I have been unable to find another surgeon with experience in surgically applying Hydroxyapatite. Any suggestions appreciated.

I've never heard of hydroxyapatite... is there another name this substance is sold by in the US? I know they market different names sometimes for different injectable fillers from country to country.

Want to know what hydroxyapatite is? You mention it's not an injection so is it another substance similar to silicone? I wasn't aware there were even other options.

I have a lot of fat in my cheeks and want to know more about cheek liposuction. But it sounds dangerous having a lipo tube stuck behind your cheeks? What are the complications I have to worry about this surgery? Do many surgeons do it and how much does it cost on average?
