![]() | I have these massive honking implants in my cheeks I got in 05 that make me look so plastic. The doctor went way way wwwwaay too big with them. Why do some plastic surgeons think more is better like my cheeks then on other people they butcher their nose and chop it all off. I don't get it it's all about being conservative. I want to get mine re-done but I wanted to know how the process works. Will the surgeon take out my implants and shave them down or will they put new cheek implants in? When I was reading up on the surgery back then I remember something about a doctor saying he would shave cheek implants to give them a custom look just for you. Is that all that I need or do I just need new ones all together? |

![]() | I got cheek implants a couple of years ago and had them taken out three weeks later because they were way too far lateral mainly cause I said I wanted that look and then realized it was awful. I think the way to solve it for you is to remove the implants that are too big as shaving them down is only for minute changes not for drastic size changes. perhaps do u have a small face where medium implants come out huge on you? that is the case with me and so my medium sized ones that were pushed so high and lateral needed to just come out rather than being fixed. hope that helps. |

![]() | thanks but what about the scar tissue. Can a plastic surgeon easily go in there and remove the cheek implants or is there a lot of scar tissue in there. I wonder if that might make it lumpy or something with all that scar tissue messed with and the new implants making scar tissue. I bet the recovery is longer with revision cheek implants I know that I just don't want lumpiness from the scar tissue. |

![]() | I was looking into the same thing about how cheek implant revision surgery works and from what I could find there will be scar tissue from the original first surgery but I didn't see anything about the scar tissue being so bad it messed up the new surgery. You should be OK. |

![]() | just get a good doctor that specializes in cheek implants and you should be good. the satisfaction rate is so high for cheek augmentation across the board so i think once you go with a top plastic surgeon for it you're almost certain to have good results. where do you like i may be able to recommend some names of doctors i know are good. |
