just found this I didn't even know it existed! did you know there is plastic surgery to make dimples if you don't naturally have them?



they say the plastic surgeon makes a marking on the cheek where the patient wants the dimples. then they cut through the inside of the mouth to create a shallow area where the skin will sink in. it's closed up using absorbable stitches and then a knot is made which makes the dimples. it's all done under local anesthesia and only takes a half hour to do. what does everyone think of this? i'm not sure if they look very natural to me. supposedly it gives you a more peppy smile but i think it looks plastic unless they can do a better job.

I tried to find plastic surgeons that do this without any luck. Did wherever you read this talk about what plastic surgeons do cheek dimple creation surgery especially in Los Angeles? How about the costs what should one expect for this surgery and is it reversible if the doctor f's up on your cheek dimples?

i just read somewhere that with dimple creation surgery the dimples made will be there whether you're smiling or not. can anyone confirm this? i don't know if that's a good idea or if that would be attractive. it would look kind of plasticy if you have botox, nosejob, cheek implants, and then fake dimples that are on your plastic face all the time lol

I would advise against dimple creation surgery. From what I've seen the results do not look natural in my opinion. Also dimples are not considered a positive or a negative physical trait so I see no point in having them if you don't naturally.

The results will not be natural
They cut the area where you need dimples, so it means that whether you are smiling or not, the dimples will be there, and it is not good.
Natural dimples appear only when the person is smiling.
