Asymmetric Face, malar or sub-malar Was wondering which would be best for the RIGHTSIDE part of my face, malar or sub-malar? I'm currently 22yrs of age and am trying to balance out my facial features as im satisfied with the look on the leftside of my face but a bit dissastisfied with the rightside since it appears guant (the rightside of my face has a very noticeable hollow that is present in the midface area depending on where lighting hits it). Implants cannot be done on only one side of the face so it would not be possible to only address the right side. If it's only one side that bothers you then injectable fillers would probably be your best bet. |
Darn, I was hoping i could find a more permanent solution besides fillers. Although i haven't exactly done much research on cheek implants, i'm a bit curious to know why implants can't be done on only one side of the face? |
To me, it looks like you may benefit from bilateral implants |
Thanks for the response, i'll most likely do the bilateral cheek implants then. |
From what I have been told, be sure to select a surgeon who specializes in MALE facial implants. Many surgeons don't tailor the implants to the patient's gender; as a result, there are gender non-specific changes in the patient's face. Look at Dr. Francis Palmer |
oOoh, arighty then, i'll be sure to keep that in mind. Thanks again. |
Well your cheeks are already quite wide so I would be *very careful* in your decision making. I think it would be hard to put cheek implants over them that would look natural IMHO. Fillers though would certainly be an option to fill in the sub-malar area but I don't think your cheek bones need to be any bigger :) |
In that case, what kind of fillers would you suggest? |
Hyaluronic based fillers would be a good place to start. The results will last 7-9 months and that should give you a better idea if it will help achieve the change you want. |
