Dr. Edward Terino in Thousand Oaks CA, has anyone here seen his work?? Dr. Terino name came up for cheek implants.

Terino does what most other surgeons do ... install cheek implants that look too large. He has allegedly done various procedures on several celebrities that I am aware of, and the results were dismal.

I am not a fan of his work.

Terino is also known to be a high level scientologist. I did read Dr Terino reviews when researching him. There are many complaints about him allegedly forcing patients to fill out a Scientology inspired questionnaire- it was discussed in a New York Times article.

A colleague of mine personally verified the aforementioned information, Mr. Z posted, approximately 20 minutes ago in person, as she worked with Terino. She was troubled when she had to divulge her religious beliefs in her interview, and discuss why she was not a Scientologist. Weird and scary stuff. Caveat emptor!

Yes, it was for a job interview.

And yes, he was reported. I'm not sure if he was penalized in any way ($$$?), but she did get the job. Coincidence? You can be the judge. She only worked there for three and a half months, as the work environment was "bizarre and unbelievably unprofessional", ad verbatim from her. I am talking about an accredited health professional. This is scary.

Like corporate/chain stores have mystery shoppers there should be "mystery potential patients" and to a a lesser degree in frequency, "mystery potential employees" for all plastic surgeons. Regardless of a surgeons' "pull" , "power", and credentials (more like $$$), someone needs to regulate erratic, unnecessary, and unethical practices.

If you enjoyed "Breaking Bad," you might enjoy the state board record of Dr. Terino's business partner, Dr. Mike Edwards. Check under license G66289. The State of California recently stripped Edwards of his right to practice medicine after a judge found he wrote phony painkiller prescriptions for himself. As for Terino himself: A Scientologist, Dr. Terino greets patients with his 'Psychiatry Kills' button. He is happy to push the controversial sci-fi religion's message that psychologists caused the Holocaust; in fact, he keeps a stack of pamphlets handy, arguing just that. Dr. Terino also requires that prospective patients take the Scientology personality test, the exam administered by crazy people at the Stress Test booths at the mall. The facial work he performed was botched and caused distress. He was also something of a slick hustler, and less than honest. Not your first choice.

He also allegedly hired an attorney-to-the-stars to sue his own son-in-law for emotional distress over an insult.

I am well aware of many of the things you mention in your post above.

What scares me as a medical professional is that individuals such as Terino continue to practice.
