| also.. why do you guys keep trying to prevent me from getting those implants? i'm telling you the problem with my face is real, and it's not just something minor either.. i would figure being on a plastic surgery forum that you guys would be encouraging me to get them..
i appreciate your replies btw.. |

| I have no idea what the bumps on your nose are. Maybe you can post a pic?
Just because you're on a PS forum where people have had PS, are knowledgable about PS, and/or are interested in PS does not mean forum members will advocate for you to get a surgery, when they do not feel it is not warranted. Conversely, it is all about you and your perspective of yourself. That is most important.
Personally, I do not think you need the facial implants. If you are a newbie to PS and many forum members are not telling you what you want to hear, than you have a big decision to make. Either follow your instincts, or listen to people with experience and know how. Neither choice is necessarily right or wrong. Experience is the best teacher, but it's all up to you. It's your face.
Professionally speaking, like I have said before as both a medical and mental health professional, I think you need to talk to someone about your issues. That might not even be enough. You might have to step it up a notch.
Good luck.

| Why did you drop out of college with only 3 or 4 weeks to go? You talk about being at a low point, then why aren't you seeking out professional help? Quote: |
also: it's a known fact that there is something wrong with my face, and it's not JUST a minor thing. i've had friends' parents give me that strange look the first time meeting me.
| Again, this sounds like something that's in your head. What does giving you a "strange look" the first time they meet you mean? I take it as you are interrupting things as meaning something different. |

Good luck. | i have like a facial deformity.. to those people who don't know well, they'd get a bit freaked out when meeting me for the first time cause they'd see one side then see the other. there's that much difference between the two sides of my face, trust me. the pictures don't show it that well. IT'S REAL. trust me.. |

I take it as you are interrupting things as meaning something different. | i couldn't take it anymore.. at school i'd be just so depressed and couldn't really focus well in class. most of the time, i'd just skip classes to play basketball in the gym or something. i couldn't take any more stares from people.. people treating me like sh!t cause i look that ugly.
it's not in my head.. i spoke to some friends like i said earlier, and they weren't surprised at all when i just came out and told them i was depressed and dropping out of school. that strange look i'm talking about is people staring at me cause i look odd.
i'm going to try and take better pictures later.. the ones i've taken don't really show what i'm talking about well.. |

| Yes, maybe additional pics might help to address the deformity you speak of.
I agree with la_angel, who is agreeing with me in retrospect, as far as you having a mental health issue. You can disagree all you want, but as a medical doc and a mental health doc I have to concur with la_angel.

I don't think that means they were staring at you. Sure you're not being paranoid about that? Quote: |

| Are you surprised? Friends will agree/support almost anything.
Did they also agree that others were fixated on staring at you because of looks? I doubt it. I think it's all in your head man. There is nothing abnormal about the way you look. |
