Default Male malar/submalar implants

Hi guys,

In your opinion, what type of implant would you say is used more for men? Malar to achieve the high cheekbone look?

The reason I ask this question is because I've always associated the submalar implant with filling hollows and mid-cheek indentations. I know that men generally have less fat on their cheeks.

What would you advise for someone wanting to achieve a masculine cheek structure?

Thanks.

Welcome to the forum!!!

For a masculine appearance malar cheek implants are most often used.

You are correct about submalar implants being utilized to fill hollow areas in the face.

I hear about both malar and submalar implants being used on men. I think it really depends on their face and what they have to begin with. If there was a fat deficiency in the midface area, it probably would look a bit bizarre to only put in malar cheek implants without doing something to the submalar too.

Why not post some pics (you can block out your eyes if you want) so we can make some recommendations and tell you what we think?

Hi
Just found this post today after returning from an appt with PS. I have hollowness in the mid-cheek area. The PS recommended a submalar impant. Did you get the surgery? What was the outcome, and can you share the cost? Also I see you are in Jupiter and I am in WPB. Maybe we could share the PS name if you had the surgery.
Thanks

For male typically a combination malar/sub-malar is used.

Default submalar implant

Hi all,

I am new to this board. I have severe flatness in midcheek and have spent a lot of money in fillers but couldn't lift up the area. Does any member here had submalar implant? Are the implants secure and easy to get infection?

Thank you so much,
Billy
