What do bad cheek implants look like?
 

What are the tell tale signs of bad cheek implants besides being too big. Are there any similarities they have that make them obvious to spot?

I have seen some bad cheek implants. Some examples include when the face simply looks wider, when the person looks completely different (and not in a good way), chipmunk cheeks (self explanatory), when the eyes look compressed from the implant, etc.

As I mentioned in my response to your other post, bigger is not better. That is probably the biggest problem patients encounter, and when they're too big, they're obvious (think Priscilla Presley's look :) )

The answer to your question in my opinion is that when any person can tell that there are cheek implants, it's not a good result. Ideally, the implants should look like the person has always had this appearance. In my practice, I've taken out implants that were place over the zygoma (cheek bone) and made the face look too wide. A proper evaluation and taking time during surgery to make surthe implants look natural make a successful result more likely.
