![]() | ok ok ok here it is -- i was shocked! jackie chan got asian double eyelid surgery to become more 'westernized' looking. here's the before and after photos: ![]() so there you have it, one of the most popular moviestars in the world, jackie chan who came from a poor hong kong family, got plastic surgery in 1976 to re-shape his eyes. the last movie with the old look is foreign film shaolin wooden men from 1976. so he got the surgery, came to america, and a few years later he's making american movies with big american money and i didn't even know this part -- until 2001 china had a ban on plastic surgery all together! hoping people would be forced to keep their traditional non-western looks. well god bless the u.s. of a. for freedom of plastic surgery! |

![]() | He looked like a totally different person! I'm happy for him that he's done good for himself but it is sad the pressure we put on people to look a certain way in order to make it. I'm glad other successful asian actors like Lucy Lui have kept their looks. Speaking of which have you seen that new show she's in on ABC called Cashmere Mafia? It premiered before the strike then had to go on hiatus of coure because of the strike but it should be back on soon. You can watch the episodes on ABC's website it's a great show. |

![]() | I'm kind of sad to see he did this. I always liked him because I thought he was just being himself. I guess Hollywood makes everyone fall into the trap though. |
