Default plastic surgery photography

Hi, I am a writer working with a photographer, and we are interested in interviewing and taking before/after pictures of those getting work done. Any kind of beauty work.

I'm not really sure of the best way to go about this, so I thought I'd try this forum first and get some suggestions.

Is posting flyers in the doctors' offices a good way to start? Where else could I find people?

If anyone is interested in being photographed and is willing to share their story, please feel free to contact me. -Jennifer

P.S. Kudos to the creators of this site. I must say that this forum is truly wonderful, such an informed, supportive and smart community.

Hello,

What is the conclusive project that the forum members will be contributing to? A book? A documentary? Where will the B&A's wind up?

You should probably post fliers in docs' offices (with permission of course), post on various plastic surgery forums (credibility is individually dependent for each site), as well as place ads in magazines dedicated to the realm of beauty.

Good luck!

Thanks! You're right, I should have mentioned we are working on a book. The award-winning photographer is a New York City celebrity portrait photographer who has taken pictures of everyone from Barack Obama and Sarah Palin to all the Real Housewives and Tila Tequila. He's shot for Rolling Stone, Time magazine, Spin, Pepsi---he's renowned for his honest work and beautiful lighting.

The writer has written for fashion magazines at Conde Nast Publications and currently works in marketing in NYC.

I'm very eager to find people for this project and welcome all inquiries and leads. Thanks for the support!
