| Breast Reduction Los Angeles - Who's The Best Surgeon? My best friend is considering breast reduction Los Angeles CA is where she lives (and where I live too!) The problem is there are so many plastic surgeons in the area and with many of their big budgets they spend on advertising themselves it can be hard to decipher who's the real deal and who's just average. Being that I've had cosmetic work done before myself I told her I would help her find a good doctor.
The concern my friend really has is about the scarring. From what I know about breast reduction surgery is it's a pretty brutal operation. They slash open the area under your breast with a very large incision, remove breast tissue, and then sew you back up.
Hopefully a few of you on the plastic surgery forum can help me with these questions:
(1) Have any of you had this operation in the Los Angeles or even greater Southern California area?
(2) Does anyone know if there are alternate methods which involve smaller incisions? |

| I don't need a breast reduction but if I did my main concern would be the technique the surgeon used because I would not want to have bad scarring. I know there are some doctors that make smaller incisions vs the sloppy doctors which make a honking big cut to remove the breast tissue. I woudn't be able to tell you who the is good for breast reduction in Los Angeles or anywhere else for that matter is but I would base it off of the incision method they use. When shopping around for surgeons ask them that and ask how big the cut will be, where it will be located and to provide before and after pictures of this procedure he has done on other women. That's your best way to go about it I think. |

| I totally understand your apprehension. With so many doctors in the LA area, it is difficult to know who to go to. I would suggest doing a search using breastimplantsusa but my specific recommendation would be to go with Dr. Grover. His website is drgrover.com and he usually leaves little to no scars on his patients. |

I do not think a surgeon would post surgery photos considered an overall "success" immediately following surgery. He or she would wait an ample period of time to demonstrate the healing of the scars, and decreasing of swelling. I understand this surgeon is a media darling, but many of his patients' "after" photos would not coerce me to visit this gent. Caveat emptor!

| Hello La Angel:
Just came across this post today. I had a reduction and lift done in Los Angeles in 2000. I'm happy to say that I am extremely happy with how my scars have healed throughout the past years. I only used vitamin E at a time when the doctor said I was allowed to... but I've never been consistent with it. I have no problem sending you before/after op photos... as well as current photos of the scars if you are interested. I am not too aware of any current forms of reduction since I had it done the "classic" way.
I can disclose the surgeons information on that private message as well.
This may be too late for your friend, but let me know if I can help. |

| Do NOT go to Dr's Ruff & Otero. Dr’s Paul Ruff & Sussan Otero groups located in Washington, DC are bunch of scammers. Their practice runs by Dr.Otero unqualified & unprofessional husband which makes you sick to your stomach to talk to him.
They give confusing statement to patients before their plastic surgery procedures and later on denying honoring their own statement in written in black & white!
They give a bad name to car dealers. DO NOT GO TO THESE DOCTORS. |
