I had a friend that had gastric bypass and a breast reduction two years after. I was shocked however to discover that this operation causes all kinds of cosmetic problems with skin. She had to get everything nipped and tucked in order to look good. I mean true, I guess even if she lost the weight a different way, she would have had to do these things anyway, but wow... it just seems like a lot of work, not to mention it's very expensive!

So I would recommend anyone considering gastric bypass surgery to allocate in their budget the money it would take to get all the post-op plastic surgery that will be needed.
