Nipple reduction surgery?
Is there anyone out there that has done nipple reduction surgery? I'm 23 and to be perfectly honest my breasts are fine I''m just not happy with how big my nipples are. It's almost laughable they are so huge it makes me look like I came from a prehistoric tribe. I'm okay with the sizes of my breasts but do you know if breast implants will make the nipples stay the same size or bigger or smaller? My guess is they stretch so it's not for me. I just ask because if it would make them smaller some how I would want to look into it. Thanks everyone!

Prehistoric tribal nipples? :Freak: :P Do you mean National Geographic style where they protrude out extra far or just the base is big?

You don't want implants because they will stretch the nipple. Some surgeons will reshape nipples but I'm not sure the long term side effects of that when it comes to breast feeding. On the flip side at least we're able to cover up our nipples 99% of the time. Well 50% of the time if you're name is Paris Hilton. :D

If you need them shortened you're in luck. Here's some basics nipple reduction surgery info for you :) The plastic surgeon can shorten nipples that stick out too far. When they do this the tip of the nipple is removed to make the nipple length shorter than it is stitched up. If it's really severe they remove skin from the neck of the nipple and then re-attach the tip to the new shorter base. If you're nipple isn't too long but rather too wide what happens is the doctor will cut out a circle wedge underneath. This basically allows for the nipple to sink in and makes the width smaller. I'm not sure by how much they can change it though I'm sure there must be a limit with nipple reduction surgery since they aren't cutting through the actual base of the nipple.

Male Nipple Reduction Surgery?
Is the same thing out there for dudes. Male breast reduction surgery? I don't even need the whole breasts reduced just my nipples because they stick out extra far. The thing is though I play sports almost year round so if I got the surgery and the plastic surgeons said I couldn't exercise my arms for a couple months I'd be in trouble. You know much about the male version of this surgery?

haha i just did a search for male nipple reduction surgery on here and found this post. yeah i could use that myself. my nipples stick out and u can see them underneath my shirt. not just t-shirt but almost any shirt. even if i have on two shirts you can still see the nipples! i'm not overweight or have big man boobs it's just my nipples which are enlarged. i hate having to resort to plastic surgery for this but from what i've read that does seem to be the only treatment option out there for it. i know it sounds funny but it's not i get teased about it all the time and there's nothing you can really do to hide it.

Thanks. Do any of you know what is the average price of breast nipple reduction surgery?

You would think it wouldn't be much since they're only doing the nipples and not the entire breasts.

The dangers of breast reduction surgery can range from simple infection to fatalities. As you may have heard or seen in the news, there are cases of death after breast surgery or plastic surgery.

Depending on the size and shape of the breasts and the amount of tissue that is removed, the patient can opt for the desired technique, choosing one of the surgeon's recommendations. In some cases vertical or horizontal incisions are performed.

Mammalian infants have a "rooting" instinct (moving their heads so as to bring their mouths towards whatever is touching their faces) for seeking the nipple, and a "suckling" instinct for extracting milk. The offspring of domestic animals, including piglets, calves, lambs, and foals, engage in a behavior known as teat seeking, sipping, and suckling. This strong instinct occurs in most species within minutes of birth, and serves both to connect the young to the food source and to encourage bonding between mother and young
