I have a few questions about male nipple reduction surgery. It is only my nipples that are the problem, I don't have man boobs.

1) How much does male nipple reduction cost? I mean it would seem like it shouldnt be too much since it is only the nipples being cut. How much different is it then going into to get a wart removed? I hope it is not more than $2k.

2) Are there always going to be scars after nipple reduction? That is something that is holding me back about this. It won't be an improvement if I have scars and everyone can tell I had plastic surgery on them.

3) Does the diameter or the nipple change or only the projection? I thought at first only the projection was the problem but size may be an issue on me too. I would want to change both if it can be done discreetly.

Scarring will depend on exactly how the procedure is performed as well as surface area preop vs. postop.

You can change the diameter as well as the projection.

Do you have excess skin as well, or is nipple size your sole concern?

I don't know a whole lot about gynecomastia (male breast/nipple reduction surgery) but from the little I do know, but when their is breast tissue present that causes the nipple to project too much, isn't there usually some around the area that needs to be removed?

Good thats a price I can handle. Theres no excess skin I'm only in my 20s. On average how bad would the scarring be with male nipple reduction surgery if I change the projection and the nipple size?

If you change the projection and nipple size there will be more scarring vs. just getting the nipple reduction.

Yes, as Robyne points out you may just want to go with nipple reduction surgery to change the projection only (and not the size). If you change the size, they will have to cut out parts of the nipple and stitch it back together so it is smaller... that will make scarring much more likely
