| Dr Marc Malek in Scottsdale AZ complaints Through my searches I found Dr Marc Malek in Scottsdale AZ where I live and his page said that he did breast implants, lipo and tucks. I am trying to find personal reviews of him and mostly I want to know if there are any complaints about this doctor? If anyone here has had experience with Dr Mark Malek please let me know because he is one of my choices I am considering. |

| What type of surgery are you interested in getting? Have you met the surgeon? He does not have many before and after photos, although most look fairly good. The facelift photos are not good examples, as the women have no makeup on in the before photos and they are done up quite well cosmetically in the after pics. The lighting also appears altered in the after facelift photos. If you haven't already, why not meet with him, and see if he hasw an extensice amount of before and after pics. See if he is willing to work with you on what YOU want, as well as if he makes you feel comfortable. Good luck! There is a post on this board from the admin on how you can see if the surgeon has any complaints against him. Here is the link: FSMB
Unfortunately, many complaints do not get reported, as clients are willing to shell out more money for revisions, and surgeons try to take care of these things on the sly.

| Surgeons are not required to cover anything, even correcting their own mistakes, which angers me personally. I can understand if a patient has unrealistic unexpectations, and things do not turn out the way they envisioned. The burden in the aforementioned scenario lies on the patient. But if a surgeon really messes up a procedure they should be held liable. Unfortunately, when you sign all the papers prior to your surgery, you assume all liability and the surgeon is no longer responsible. This is truthful regardless is it is corrective surgery or elective plastic surgery.
I would never choose a surgeon solely based upon an internet search. Especially on Google, where many of the first results are paid for, so they come up first. Literally no more credible than any other advertisement. Do you know anyone that has had a positive experience with a good surgeon? Ask your physician, coworkers, friends, relatives, etc. Everyone's persepectives, problems, and situations are different, so do not take one person's word as bond. Much research must be conducted prior to surgery and I would definitely visit more than one surgeon.
What specific breast surgery are you getting? Are you willing to travel?

| You need to look at an extensive amount of before and after photos that the surgeon has "sucessfully" conducted. You should also be looking at patients that have issues similar to yours, so you can judge the actual skill/outcome of the doc. They can all make promises, but the end results are all individually dependent. Remember that.

| I had met with several plastic surgeons in the Phoenix/Scottsdale area prior to my decision to move forward with breast implants. Your doctor noted was one that I have met with, however, I am not familiar with his work. I chose Dr. William Jacobsen whose office is located in the Biltmore. He completed my surgery several years ago (along with a few facial adjustments) and I cannot tell you how elated and happy I am with his work. I was extremely hesitant and nervous --- almost cancelled prior to going to the hospital. He was amazing and I am so grateful for beautiful outcome. |

| You should post some before and after photos (people may think a new poster is advertising for the surgeon, so you should show some photos please ) |

| Cjot's post does seem quite promotional, la_angel. He or she met with the surgeon, but is not familiar with his work?!?! Huh?
B & A photos could help to justify the legitimacy of the post, especially as this an old post that has been resurrected.
