Default Natural Looking Implants?

Hello everyone,

I'm a 23 yo from Boston who's considering plastic surgery. When I was 18 I became pregnant with twins. I was really tiny, so my body was stretched beyond it's limits by the pregnancy. I was left with loose skin around my abdomen, and breasts that are somewhat deflated looking. I ended up losing the pregnancy in my 8th month, so getting surgery after 4 years would be a way for me to finally move on from this and be a normal 20-something again, as well as cosmetic. I'm definitely considering a tummy tuck, but I was wondering if anyone had any advice on getting implants as well. I originally was thinking of a breast lift, but I don't think it would be worth it, considering I'll most likely be having children in the future. My biggest issue with implants is that I don't want to be noticeable. I would want something really small, not to increase my size much (maybe a little - I've always been a C but have recently lost weight and gone down to a borderline B/C) but more to fill up the space in the extra skin. Looking at photos though, most post-surgery photos show patients with overly round breasts that are really far apart. Is it possible to get natural looking breast implants? I wouldn't want anyone to be able to tell that I had them. If so, what type of implants/placement/etc would be my best bet? Does anyone have any recommendations for surgeons in New England?

Thanks for your help!

I'm sorry to hear about your miscarriage. Do you know if you want to have kids though? This is something important to consider with breast implants because they can affect breast feeding.

Some say that putting the implants below the muscle instead of above looks more natural. Then there are different shapes of implants to consider. You want to stay away from the tear drops and high profile which will give you the unnatural look you mentioned.

Have you thought about what type of surgery you want to get - tumescent breast augmentation, etc?

I don't know any surgeons on the East Coast but I know there are many good ones. I think the most important thing is picking out the right size and shape.

I know a great surgeon in Long Island, NY. Would you be willing to travel?

I am really trying to find who does natural looking implants too. I don't want to look like the Girls Next Door hehehe

Should I ask for a certain size or smaller? Like is there a certain cut off point with size where they will look fake no matter what?

If you have a petite body I honestly think anything above a mid-sized C will look fake. That's just my opinion. The key to natural looking implants is getting them proportional to your body.

If you go too big then it's really hard to keep them natural looking! And alot of the time if your breasts are far apart before a BA they will tend to be that way after. I've also heard of some women who have a bit of sag (but not wanting a breast lift) but still have some existing breast tissue going for high profiles and having them look amazingly natural and perky without a lift. I never would have thought HP would look good but in the right situation they can be perfect. So you need to trust your PS to give you a natural result. Good luck

Size is not the only issue to consider when discussing implants. To get the safest and most natural-looking results, breast implants are made with a variety of features in mind. Many women choose round implants because they tend to provide the greatest amount of lift, fullness and cleavage. Some women, however, find the round implants too fake looking and opt for more natural-looking alternatives.

It is even MORE important that you understand what you're getting into. I'm not just talking about the risks, but the discomfort and look right after surgery. I guarantee your breasts won't look picture perfect right after surgery. In fact, they probably won't look natural for months! But as long as you are doing your research, ready and willing to take the risks, communicate effectively with your surgeon, and do as he/she says, the odds of your breasts looking natural will increase tremendously!
