Looking to get cheap breast implants? Well I was too. I was looking for the most bang for my buck because that's all I could afford. But what I discovered was shocking.

If you don't go with a board certified surgeon you are risking your life. THere are so many stories on this plastic surgery message board and other places or disaster stories of people who tried to cut corners with the cost. Also the cheapest surgeries you see for implants usually are just the method where they cut under your breasts and stuff in the saline bags. You are left with big scars underneath the fold which is just nasty because then anyone you are intimate with will know that you've had augmentation. The better methods are done through the belly button "endoscopic breast augmentation" and those leave no scars other than inside your belly button and who looks there

Another thing you need to keep in mind is that implants need to be replaced around every 10 years and sooner if you have complications like a burst saline bag or something. Keep that in mind in that are you going to be able to shell out that money every 10 or so years to get them replaced? A lot of women don't think about that when they're thinking about getting breast augmentation. So I think that everyone needs to plan for this when deciding if they should do it.

I do think you get what you pay for usually but there are a lot of doctor charges a fortune but their talent is not anything above average. So although I would not just base my search for cheap implants by who costs the least, I wouldn't overpay for a mediocre doctor that is charging a lot just because they're in the position to get away with it.

You do get what you pay for in most cases. But you still hear stories of girls paying a fortune and ending up with bad results. You need to go with a well trained surgeon with loads of experience and referrals and listens to what YOU want! I sometimes watch Dr90210 and agree he does favour that fake big look but i guess most girls who go to him have seen the show and love his results! So does that mean we need to start considering a PS's personal preference for size and look too before we chose?

Exactly, KatieGirl. We need to know what WE want! If a surgeon can prove to you that your expectations are skewed, that might be a good and honest surgeon. NEVER allow a surgeon to do what YOU don't want. However, as la_angel cited in another thread, surgeons have a skewed view of what is desirable. Not everyone wants to look like a porn star or have trout pout.

It really is better to go with a plastic surgeon that shares your same viewpoints on aesthetics. This is especially true with rhinoplasty. I see so many surgeons, that for some reason, think that men should have feminine ski slope noses... yuck!
