| Miami Breast Augmentation I found this place Coral Gables Cosmetic in Miami that offers breast augmentation for a price that seems to good to be true, saline implants for $2800. I made some research on their plastic surgeons staff and there are 2 which I like Dr. Sean Simon and Dr. Robert Hunsaker they are both board certified. Is this price for real ?? how can it be when other places are really expensive compared to this??

| Where did you find the aforementioned price and/or how did you find out the price? I would be somewhat suspicious of the price. Is it all inclusive? Does it include implants on the larger end of the spectrum? Is it over the muscle, under the muscle, or both? Is it one type of saline implant, or can you choose based upon personal preference as well as personal necessity?
I have seen mixed results from Simon and only know one person who used Hunsaker and was unhappy with the results.
Their website and practice seems more concerned with "creating an experience" vs. delivering quality results.

| Oh yes, like they say "if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is!" As Robyne said, be sure and find out exactly what is included in that price (is it just the surgeon fee or does it include everything?) FYI you also want to think about the entry method... if scars are a concern for you, then it will be worth paying more for transumbilical breast implants.
Unfortunately, I don't know any surgeons in Miami for breast augmentation so I don't have any recommendations I trust
By the way how did you come across that price quote? |

| The price is real!!
I didn't feel like going to the place yet, so I called and asked all kind of questions to make sure there aren't any hidden fees
What is included in the $2800 ?
includes: saline breast implants, anesthesia, blood work and operative room cost.
does not includes: medicines and a bra you need after surgery.

| In my opinion, Emily's posts seem somewhat promotional in her claims and wording.
She says "I didn't feel like going to the place"? How serious could you be about the surgery then? Face to face is the only way to go!
Is this post designed to generate publicity, business, and/or attention to the practice?
The price does not include meds? So if you need a pain pump, you have to fork over the money for that? Maybe that's one reason why the price is so low. Post BA bras are more expensive than regular ones, but considering they would be the most inexpensive item, why wouldn't they be included? What about post op care and follow up appointments?
This seems fishy. I will have to do some research and report back to the forum members regarding my findings.

| Is Emily (if that is really her name) here to promote this place? |

All silicone implants are the same up to the standard size of 800cc
all saline implants are the same up to the standard size of 950cc |

| Read the entire post, Heather (all inclusive, price, type of placement, implant brand/shape). Also, all silicone implants and saline implants up to a certain amount of ccs do NOT cost the same. Even generalized industry standards and/or regulations vary from surgeon to surgeon.
Oh, and welcome to the forum!!!

| I'm from South Florida and Emily is telling the truth. Coral Gables Cosmetic is charging $2800 for saline implants. But you should NEVER choose a plastic surgeon based on price! I would like to remind everyone that you get what you pay for!
But it does sound too good to be true! I have to agree with you guys! Think about it: saline implants cost around $650, anesthesia (I guess they use local) should cost around $600, plus room fees (?) it would leave the surgeon with less than $1500. It sounds very low compared to the national average of 3,544.
I payed $4,850 for my breast augmentation in South Florida.(Including EVERYTHING) My surgery was performed in a hospital facility with emergency staff and with a board certified anesthesiologist. I researched a LOT before signing with my surgeon. I knew he was a great surgeon, board certified (ASPS, ABPS, ASAPS and ABMS), had a clean record, amazing reviews, etc. So make sure you do your homework before signing with a surgeon or center.
Good luck!

| I spoke with several reputable colleagues and the price does not include many of the basics. The base price is NOT the final price.
